Spanxing on a Date

Lucky Charm handled this pretty well in my eyes. He did laugh and say, “whoa, whoa, don’t freak out, it’s okay…I know what Spanx are”. I of course nervously laughed and then finally calmed down and explained my love of Spanx and how they make my clothes just look that much better. He smiled, rolled his eyes and told me to stop worrying about it and that it isn’t a big deal at all. I was relieved and somehow found it easy to resume our “make out sesh” for a few more minutes.

I couldn’t believe that for as long as I have been wearing body shapers I’ve never had this run in (I think I was always just that smooth). This makes me wonder what guys really think about our undergarment arsenal of push up bra’s, chicken cutlets, wired and boned full body contraptions that make us look oh-so much better. What do you all think? Have you ever had a body shaper mishap? How do your significant others feel about your undergarment arsenal? I must know!!

I, much like Bridget Jones, am not too fond of my wobbly bits. To keep my wobbly bits in check I would say that I probably wear Spanx *almost everyday. I love them!! They smooth all of lumps and bumps and enhance my semi hourglass figure. There are so many different types out there but my favorites by far are the Hide and Sleek Panty and Body Smoother. The Hide and Sleek Panty has a normal panty bottom but goes all the way up under your bra line and is great with pants or shorts. The Hide and Sleek Body Smoother is perfect for dresses because it also goes all the way up to your bra line and smoothes ever so nicely down to right above your knees with a bike short like bottom. Spanx are seamless and this is definitely a perk, but I will say I officially had my first embarrassing Spanx moment that was, well… not so seamless.

Things have been going very well with Lucky Charm. We’ve gone out on quite a few fun dates and I’m really starting to like this guy. I feel very comfortable around him and I love our sarcastic, fun and light banter. After one of our dates a few days ago Lucky Charm walked me to my door and we made out for a solid 5 minutes *giggle* when the unthinkable happened. His hands were on my lower back while we were kissing and one hand ever so slyly crept up the back hem of my top. As this happened I had an internal panic and I then yelled (totally ruining the moment, by the way), “Wait!! I have Spanx!”. Once those words left my mouth I felt my cheeks blush and wanted to avoid all eye contact.
