OMG!!! He did what?!?!
Guest Relations - VanessaPublished April 15, 2011 at 12:12 pm 4 CommentsOMG – I DIE! This past year, I’ve been on this mission to find myself in a smart relationship with a guy. From the Firefighter to Lucky Charm and then this Mr. Big thing . . . I’ve been learning a lot about myself and what I like and definitely dislike in a guy.
I know the last time I wrote about my adventures in dating was when I was dating Mr. Big. He was the perfect-on-paper-nice-in-person-yet-9-years-my-senior guy.
I digress . . . Things were going well but somehow we hit this boring place where it was the same thing all the time. We would hang out at the same places, do the same things, and stay in a lot and at the end of the day the excitement just wasn’t there for me anymore. Of course, I come to this final decision right before his birthday. So I prolonged ending what we had which is always so awkward to do.
I swear, I honestly attempted to end things with him in person three times! Each time he’d pick up on my difficulty of dislodging my foot from my mouth and he’d ask me if something was wrong. I’d then do what I do best and create a distraction and move on to a more comfortable fun subject.
Then, a few days later IT happened.
He messaged me out of the blue and said, “So… When can Mr. Big see you in your sexy 1950’s Siren Satin Dress.” I paused. Good thing he messaged me and this wasn’t a face to face conversation because for a second there, I DIED.
OMG! OMG! He read my blog?!?? How did he find my blog? He basically found my online diary in which I vent about how I’m plus size and fabulous, sprinkled with mentions of chub rub, Spanx and some stories about the boys of my past. These are the things that guys that I’m dating should never EVER read about – and he found it.
I should probably interject here that he and I never had the Valentine’s day I was originally planning on – so yes – the Siren Satin Dress was never appreciated (by him anyways). So as I slowly came back to life after finding out that he’s read my blog I responded back with a very mature, “EEEEEW – youGOOGLED me?!” Yes, I know I’ve told you before I Google guys I date but I’m a girl. A girl that should never be Googled back apparently.
He then shot back with a, “You know, I do know who Rhianna is.” Sigh… He was pretty funny and cool about the whole thing. I mean for those of you who read my last blog on him I was totally smitten kitten and excited for the possibility of how things would go with this one. This could have been a good thing . . . if I was really still into him. He definitely continued to tease me about it the next few times we saw each other (because now that he knew how into him I was, I couldn’t end it right then and there).
Finally, after about two weeks had passed I did something that Carrie Bradshaw (and any girl, really) would totally disapprove of. I ended things with Mr. Big with a well worded text. I even made sure to keep it under 140 characters. A minute passed and he then responded with three letters.
Wow.
I know! I knew I was going to throw him off and that he had no idea how I really felt. I then added that I’m so happy to have met him and I wish him the ultimate best. He soon after wished me the best too and before I knew it, the funny story of Mr. Big and I was over.
I know I’m horrible for saying this but I’m a little amazed he didn’t fight me on this a little more. But when it’s not right, it’s not right. Right?
On to the next one… And hopefully he will not Google me.
Until next time . . .
